Answers - Q3 : Movie Edit

3-1. [Combine video] I want save multiple video files as one file.

"ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.6 Video Tools" must be installed to edit video files.

You can install the software from "PIXELA Application Disc Ver.3" Disc2 that came with the camcorder.

  1. Start "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.6".
  2. Click "Video file management & edit" in the "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.6" Launcher.
  3. Select two or more video files to edit while holding down the [Ctrl] key on the keyboard.
  4. Click [Movie Edit] and select [Edit new movie].
  5. Select the resolution of the edited video file and click [OK].
    (Selected files are displayed on the Storyboard.)
  6. Click the [Save] tab and click the [save] button.
  7. Specify the name and the destination to save.

For detail information, refer to "Edit video files"(P.76) on the "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.6 Software Guide" that can be displayed by selecting "Open Software Guide" in the [Help(H)] menu.

3-2. [Trimming] I want trim a video file to leave the necessary scenes only.

"ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.6 Video Tools" must be installed to edit video files.

You can install the software from "PIXELA Application Disc Ver.3" Disc2 that came with the camcorder.

  1. Start "ImageMixer™ 3 Ver.6".
  2. Click "Video file management & edit" in the "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.6" Launcher.
  3. Select two or more video files to edit while holding down the [Ctrl] key on the keyboard.
  4. Click [Movie Edit] and select [Edit new movie].
  5. Select the resolution of the edited video file and click [OK].
    (Selected files are displayed on the Storyboard.)
  6. Click a video file on the Storyboard.
  7. Drag the slider below the preview screen to specify the starting (left slider) and ending (right slider) scene.
  8. Click the [Save] tab and click the [save] button.
  9. Specify the name and the destination to save.

3-3. [Titler] I want to add text on a video.

"ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.6 Video Tools" must be installed to edit video files.

You can install the software from "PIXELA Application Disc Ver.3" Disc2 that came with the camcorder.

  1. Start "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.6".
  2. Click "Video file management & edit" in the "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.6" Launcher.
  3. Select two or more video files to edit while holding down the [Ctrl] key on the keyboard.
  4. Click [Movie Edit] and select [Edit new movie].
  5. Select the resolution of the edited video file and click [OK].
    (Selected files are displayed on the Storyboard.)
  6. Click [Titler].
  7. Drag the slider below the preview screen to specify the beginning scene to display the text.
  8. Select the Titler type.
  9. Enter the text to display.
    (up to 64 characters)
  10. Select font, color, and size, then click [Apply].
  11. Click [Playback] and check the text display.
  12. Click the [Save] tab and click the [save] button.
  13. Specify the name and the destination to save.

3-4. [BGM] I want to add background music on a video.

"ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.6 Video Tools" must be installed to edit video files.

You can install the software from "PIXELA Application Disc Ver.3" Disc2 that came with the camcorder.

  1. Start "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.6".
  2. Click "Video file management & edit" in the "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.6" Launcher.
  3. Select two or more video files to edit while holding down the [Ctrl] key on the keyboard.
  4. Click [Movie Edit] and select [Edit new movie].
  5. Select the resolution of the edited video file and click [OK].
    (Selected files are displayed on the Storyboard.)
  6. Click [Audio file].
  7. Drag & drop a music file(WAV) to the Storyboard.
  8. Drag the music file on the Storyboard to the position to play music on the video.
  9. Click [Playback] and check the music play.
  10. Click the [Save] tab and click the [save] button.
  11. Specify the name and the destination to save.

3-5. The message "Failed creating file." appears when saving the edited file after adding text to videos.

You may not be able to save the edited file if the text is as long as the video.

In this case, save the edited file after changing the text position or length.
