3-1. I want to import recorded videos to the computer.

1. Connect the camcorder with computer using a USB cable, and turn on the camcorder.
   "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.5" will be launched.
2. Click [Save Files to PC] in "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.5" Launcher.
3. Select the media to import.
   Select "CANON(*:) Memory" to import from the camcorder's memory.
   "*:" varies depending on computers.
4. Select the method to import.
   To import all videos in the camcorder, select [Read all videos] and click [OK].
   Videos will be saved in the computer.
   * Importing may take time depending on the video contents and the computer configuration.

3-2. I want to know the destination of the video files imported from the camcorder.

In the preferences of "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.5", you can change the destination of the video files imported from the camcorder, and the workspace used when writing a disc.

Default setting is as follows ;

• Workspace :
  C:\Users\PIXELA\AppData\Local\Temp
  Destination to save files in the Library :
• [Windows® XP]
  C:\Document and settings\(user account name)\My video\IMx3SEVer5￥(date recorded)
  ！If "My video" folder does not exist, the files will be saved in "My document" folder.
• [Windows Vista®]
  C:Users\(user account name)\Videos\IMx3SEVer5\(date recorded)
  ！If "Videos" folder does not exist, the files will be saved in "Document" folder.
• * Folder names may vary depending on computers.

How to change the destination to import

1. Connect the camcorder and the computer with a USB cable, and turn on the camcorder.
   "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.5" will start.
2. Click [Save Files to PC] in "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.5" Laucher screen.
3. Click [Settings(s)] in the menu bar (upper screen), then click [Preferences(S)].
4. Click [Browse] in "Library destination settings", and select the destination.
   * The destination displayed in this box is the default destination.
5. Click [OK] to finish the setting.
   * Select the the destination with sufficient free space.

3-3. I want to change the destination of the video files imported from the camcorder.

In the preferences of "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.5", you can change the destination of the video files imported from the camcorder, and the workspace used when writing a disc.

How to change the destination to import

   "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.5" will start.
2. Click [Save Files to PC] in "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.5" Laucher screen.
3. Click [Settings(s)] in the menu bar (upper screen), then click [Preferences(S)].
4. Click [Browse] in "Library destination settings", and select the destination.
   * The destination displayed in this box is the default destination.
5. Click [OK] to finish the setting.
   * Select the the destination with sufficient free space.

3-4. ! mark is displayed on the thumbnail of imported video file.

"ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.5" cannot find files if, for example, a file is deleted, moved, or its file name is changed in Windows® Explorer after being added to the Library.

Add the same file to the Library from [Add files to Library...] or [Add folder to Library] in the [File] menu.

When adding from a removable media such as a USB memory, save the files to the computer, then add them to the Library.

3-5. I want use imported video files with other software.

"ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.5" can convert imported files to MPEG-2 format or the format used in iTunes® or movie sharing website.

Installing "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.5 Video Tools" is needed to convert video files.

Use "PIXELA Application Disc / Disc2" bundled with the camcorder for installation.

1. Start "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.5".
2. Click [Browsing & Authoring] in "ImageMixer™ 3 SE Ver.5" launcher screen.
3. Select the video files to convert.
4. Click [Export...] in the [File(F)] menu.
5. Select the destination to save converted files and the format to convert.
   Detail information about selected format will be displayed in "Export format".
6. Click the [Export] button.
   Converted files are saved in the specified destination after converting.
